More than 500 activists marched to the US Embassy in Bali, Indonesia on November 18 to protest the ASEAN Summit and to express calls concerning climate change issues as well as raise concerns over various issues involving people's sovereignty in the South East Asian region.
Aside from the mobilizations and press conferences organized by JSAPMDD and its network, the alliance also conducted lobby activities during the UNFCCC Bangkok Intersessionals from April 3 to 8, 2011.
"Cut your emissions, we demand reparations now! Annex 1 pay your due, No to pledge and review!", these were the key messages chanted by JSAPMDD members during its second day of protest actions right outside the gates of the UNESCAP building.
In the afternoon of April 3, JSAPMDD members joined the demonstration of the Thai Working Group on Climate Justice in front of the UNESCAP building.
A three-day Study and Strategy Seminar dubbed "On Cancun Agreements and Developments and the Road to Durban and Beyond" was organized by JSAPMDD from March 29 to 31 at the Ibis Sathorn Hotel in Bangkok. Participants included members of JSAPMDD as well as the Philippine Movement for Climate Justice.
